The Graeae is operated by Not Just Any Media Ltd (Davenport House, Green Street Green Road, Dartford, Kent, DA2 8DP, United Kingdom). This page explains the data the bot itself handles. For the wider privacy policy covering Not Just Any Media’s website and services, see notjustanymedia.com/privacy-policy.
When you chat with The Graeae, we save the conversation so we can understand how members use the bot and improve it over time. For each turn of the conversation we save:
If an email address or phone number accidentally appears in a message you type, it is automatically scrubbed and replaced with [email] or [phone] before the message is saved.
If you click “Email this to me” on one of the sisters’ recommendations, we use the email address you enter on that form to send you the email — and that is all. Your email address is not stored in the conversation log, is not added to any marketing list, and is not shared with third parties beyond our email delivery provider (SendGrid, who act as our data processor solely to deliver that one message).
Under UK GDPR we rely on legitimate interest — specifically, to monitor and improve the quality of guidance The Graeae gives Temple members. We do not sell, rent, or share your conversation data.
Conversation logs are kept for 12 months, after which they are deleted. We may retain anonymised, aggregated statistics (e.g. “Enyo handled 40% of conversations in April”) indefinitely, because those cannot be used to identify any individual.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Because we do not store an identifier that links logs back to you personally, the practical route is to email us with enough context to locate the conversation (approximate date, topic). Contact: notjustanymedia@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
The Graeae does not use tracking cookies. We use two pieces of sessionStorage in your browser: the anonymous session ID, and the current month’s access word (so you don’t have to re-enter it on every page load). Both are wiped automatically when you close the browser tab.
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
